The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals 

 I just finished rereading this book for the second time. I borrowed it from the library and read it about 2-3 years ago and loved it. Then my husband wanted to read it as well. He bought it at the airport and couldn't get through the first few pages. Since we had it in the house I decided to refresh myself on the contents.

This book is fantastic. His description of where food comes from is so motivating to eat better and know where your food comes from. One of the reasons I wanted to blog is to chronicle my adventures as a new wife who wants to be a every sense. From cooking, starting a vegetable and herb garden, searching for local farms to buy foods, researching raw milk, etc, etc, etc, there is a path I am drawn to and want to stay motivated to continue. By rereading this book, that sense of wanting to eat local, sustainable, seaonal and with the least processing as possible has been revived.
