cheddar jalapeno puff pastry bites

July 11, 2012

I had some puff pastry that needed to be used before it went bad. We were having a salad one night and I decided to make a quick appetizer to go with it.

I rolled out the pastry.

Cut it into squares.

Put the squares on a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Placed a bit of shredded cheddar on the square.

Chopped up some jalapenos and placed them on top of the cheese.

Covered the square with another puff pastry square and baked at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

They were the perfect bite, easy and tasty.
A great way to use up some of the puff pastry.

And in the interest of full disclosure, not all of them looked as pretty as the one above...
