homemade flavored water

March 11, 2013

Do you like the taste of plain water?

I know many people do not. Which makes drinking water throughout the day a chore. There are mixes that you can add to water to give it flavor, but most are filled with lots of chemicals.

But I found a product that makes it easy to make your own flavored water and is much healthier. It is called the ZingAnything Aqua Zinger.

The Aqua Zinger water bottle works by subtly infusing water with flavors. From cucumber to lemon and lime, to blackberries, kiwi, strawberry, raspberry, peach, ginger, or even mint and basil – your Aqua Zinger can infuse them all. Mix and match and get creative; the flavors and ingredients are only limited by your imagination. Source
By using whole fruits, veggies and herbs, you will also take in more vitamins and minerals.

How it works
You place fruit (or other ingredients) in the bottom cup with the "teeth" and screw on the top that also has "teeth." These help grind the fruit. It then releases the juices into the water to create a mild flavor.

Water goes into the top part of the Aqua Zinger. It holds approximately 16 ounces of water. Although it's not a large container, it is a nice size to put in a bag, or carry around.

I like plain water, but #1 does not, so he is the one that uses this. The only con that he has mentioned is that the fruit is really only good for one time. So if you refill the water reservoir, you are not going to have more flavor infusing into the water at that point unless you reload new fruit at the bottom.

If you are interested in a healthier way to make flavored water, you want to avoid chemicals, and you want to get more nutrients, the Aqua Zinger is a great product.
